Dear player, welcome to our VIC Padel Club! To ensure a smooth, respectful and enjoyable experience for all members, please adhere to the following rules and regulations.
By participating in one or more VPC padel sessions, you agree to these rules and regulations:
1. Voting and Sign-Ups
Voting is done through the WhatsApp group and is based on the principal of “first come, first served”. However, in accordance with your padel level: beginner, intermediate or advanced, members have priority over guests, and first-time guests have priority over repeating guests.
2. Membership Fee
Members are expected to pay the designated membership fee by the 31 January of the current year to confirm their membership and take part in its benefits.
3. Lateness Policy
A player who arrives more than 15 minutes late to the scheduled session will be assigned a “snail” for their next sign-up. This mean they will be placed at the bottom of the list for the next scheduling session, regardless of the time stamp of the vote.
The “snail” designation will be removed after the following sign-up, allowing the player to return to their regular priority status for future sign-ups.
It is possible to receive several “snails” in a row.
4. Cancellation Policy
Any cancelations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancelation fee for the scheduled portion of the court fee, unless the member canceling can find a replacement player.
VPC is, and will remain, a non-profit club.
5. Star Player Incentive
If a player wins all games in a session, they will receive a “star” next to their name for the next sign-up. The “star” designation is valid for one session only and will expire accordingly.
It is possible to receive several “stars” in a row.
6. Respect for Fellow Players
All players are expected to show respect and consideration toward fellow club members, both on and off the court.
Any failure to respect the rights, comfort and well-being of others may result in a ban from the club.
7. Respect for Venues and Equipment
All players must treat the club’s hosting venues, including but not limited to courts, rental equipment, facilities, with care and respect.
Any intentional damage to the club’s property or improper handling of the rental equipment will result in appropriate action, which may include fees or removal from the club.
8. Right to Close Membership Applications
The club’s Executive Committee reserves the right to close, and/or reject, additional membership applications for the current year once the maximum number of members has been reached. Members will be notified if this decision is made.
By adhering to these rules, we can maintain a respectful and enjoyable environment for all members. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a great season of padel tennis.
Enjoy the game and respect the game!
